Debbie became terminally ill in 2003 and died in December of 2003. Her son Brian Raike graduated from Ewing in 2004. "Ewing has never produced a stronger individual in all three areas -- scholar, leader, athlete," coach Craig Wood of his two-time All-Area and All-State player who rates as top defensive player in Ewing’s 50-year history. Brian received a scholarship to play football at University of Pennsylvania. She is survived by sons Brian and Kevin Raike and husband Richard Raike.
